ADSL Broadband: The 'heavens have opened up'!

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 2 April 2010

One cannot help to think that the ‘heavens have opened up’ on us where ADSL Broadband price cuts are of a concern in South Africa. It’s indeed a time to be joyous, especially if one considers that big guns such as MWEB have joined the ADSL Broadband price cut party.

Cheaper ADSL Broadband…

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) has no intention to go into the nitty-gritty details here, which are available elsewhere, but rather to underline the importance of affordable ADSL Broadband in South Africa.

We’re sure that an increasing number of our fellow Average Joes are considering switching to ADSL Broadband now that it’s much cheaper to get connected to the Internet via ADSL Broadband. This should lead to an increase in the number of visits to South African and international websites. In addition, South African Internet users should then have access to a wider range of info, which makes it for one easier to make product/service comparisons and thus help them to save money in the process. The reason they should have access to a wider range of info is because a drop in the cost of ADSL Broadband should enable more businesses to create an online presence.

Given the above, it’s essential for SA businesses to grasp the importance of having an online presence. Not only are an increasting number of consumers accessing the Internet, but an increasing number of consumers are searching online for products and services instead of using traditional methods (newspapers, etc.). It is no secret after all that ADSL Broadband enables one to start and effectively maintain a website. All of this should lead to an increase in the amount of income generated by website/business owners in South Africa, something that should in turn boost the South African economy.

In other words, it’s clear that a drop in the cost of ADSL Broadband can be expected to boost the South African economy among other positive outcomes.
