ADSL Broadband: Off-peak ADSL at R8 per GB ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 26 October 2010 Web Africa will be offering ADSL Broadband at R8 per GB between 12am and 6am (from midnight until 6:00 in the morning) from the 1st of November. It’s nothing to write home about, except if you’re a night owl that stays up late at night until early in the morning or smart enough to schedule downloads, etc. during the times mentioned.
“Download Plus” add-on… The new Web Africa add-on that makes it possible to surf the internet during the off-peak times mentioned-above at R8 per GB is called the “Download Plus” add-on. With this add-on it’s possible to double one’s data/bandwidth.
E.g. if you are subscribed to a Web Africa 10GB Complete or Data package and wish to make use of the “Download Plus” add-on, it will cost you R80 extra per month to double your bandwidth. You will then sit with 10GB of data/bandwidth to use during peak hours and 10GB of data/bandwidth to use during off-peak hours. |
