ADSL Broadband: 10 Mbps ADSL Line Speed Upgrades
started
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South
Africa), 11 August 2010
Telkom has started their much anticipated ADSL line speed upgrades to 10 Mbps. This will most
definitely sit well with 4 Mbps ADSL users in areas which are targeted for these
upgrades. The migration process is expected to be finalized by the 20th of this month.
A step forward…
The 10 Mbps ADSL line speed upgrades are definitely a step forward for telecoms in South Africa.
An ADSL line speed of 10 Mbps might be seen as insignificant when compared to ADSL line speeds available in other
parts of the world, but ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is of the opinion that it will be welcomed by
most ADSL users in South Africa. It’s after all no secret that the fastest ADSL line speed ADSL users in South
Africa could previously enjoy was 4 Mbps! Now those of you who are fortunate to enjoy ADSL line speeds of up to 10
Mbps can download and upload stuff much faster. Don’t be
surprised if you use bandwidth more than twice as fast as previously.
In other words, the 10 Mbps ADSL line speed upgrades are welcomed in South Africa despite faster ADSL line speeds
being available in other parts of the world.
