We can expect to experience
Wireless Broadband speeds of up to 173Mbps per
second in 2010. This comes after Nokia Siemens Networks has successfully completed a multi-user field trial
employing the new Long Term Evolution (LTE)
technology.
‘Nokia Siemens Networks has recently announced that it has
completed the world’s first multi-user field trial in an urban environment using the new Long Term Evolution (LTE)
technology that offers mobile data rates up to 173 Megabits per second’ (173 Mbps wireless broadband here in 2010,
MyBroadband, 21 December 2007).
In other words, in what can be seen as a world first Nokia Siemens
Networks has successfully completed a multi-user field trial in an urban environment using
LTE.
